World’s first postage stamp, rare coins to be on display

Pune: The world's first postage stamp, the Penny Black, India's first pigeongram and many other rare coins and stamps will be on display next week at an exhibition organised by the International Collectors' Society. Coinpex, the three-day exhibition starting on December 11, will be held at Sonal Hall and the exhibits of eminent philatelists who have won gold medals at various competitions will be displayed. The technology gap between India Post and HSBC (India) is more than 20 years. The last branch of SBI went live on the core banking (CB) platform in the year 2008.
